Knee X-ray study - Panthera

Project Overview

This study was a large Phase III clinical trial designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an investigational treatment for relieving knee pain caused by osteoarthritis in participants who are overweight or living with obesity.

Scheduled knee X-rays were required at screening and at long-term follow-up to support participant assessment and study outcomes, additional to routine clinical care.

LivingCare was engaged to support the delivery of this imaging component, ensuring timely access to high-quality diagnostic imaging across the study timeline.

Our Role

LivingCare delivered knee X-ray imaging at defined points during the participant journey, including screening and follow-ups over an 80-week period, or earlier where participants discontinued the study.

Imaging was delivered using low-dose techniques in line with agreed clinical and safety standards, ensuring radiation exposure remained minimal while providing clinically meaningful information about osteoarthritis progression.

LivingCare coordinated imaging appointments, carried out examinations consistently, and ensured imaging outputs were made available to the research partner to support sponsor-led analysis.

Outcomes

Imaging services were delivered reliably across both baseline and long-term follow-up time points, supporting consistent data collection for a large, late-phase clinical study.

The structured approach enabled high-quality imaging data to be captured while maintaining a strong focus on participant safety.
