Colonoscopy trial - Accellacare

Project Overview

LivingCare supported a clinical research trial focused on colonoscopy procedures, requiring end-to-end coordination, patient engagement and timely clinical reporting to support the research objectives.

Our Role

LivingCare managed the full patient pathway for the study. This included receiving patient details, carrying out the complete booking process and coordinating colonoscopy appointments. We contacted patients directly to arrange procedures, conducted pre-assessment telephone calls with a nurse and prescribed and posted bowel preparation to patients’ home addresses.

Following each procedure, we ensured the timely delivery of clinical outputs, providing colonoscopy reports within 24 hours. Where biopsies were taken, samples were sent for histology testing and we issued histology reports alongside written clinician letters detailing the findings.

The Outcomes

The project was delivered on time and to specification, providing the research partner with high-quality, real-world clinical data. The structured and consistent approach ensured reliable data capture and a smooth experience for both patients and the research team.

Why it worked well:

  • Efficient management of the full patient journey
  • Timely clinical reporting and documentation
  • Strong coordination between clinical and research teams
