Dermatology is a medical specialism for diagnosing, monitoring and treating skin conditions. LivingCare’s expert consultants and modern facilities allow us to care for and treat patients effectively.

In the UK, around half the population experience a skin condition in any year. Dermatology is the diagnosis and treatment of these skin disorders and conditions.
Yorkshire Dermatology Centre of Excellence, part of the LivingCare Group, is a comprehensive service for cancerous and non-cancerous skin conditions. From diagnosis to treatments, Yorkshire Dermatology Centre of Excellence delivers private services for eczema, psoriasis, acne, adolescent skin conditions, basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Our private dermatologists also deliver cryotherapy and minor surgery from our clinics.
Our private dermatologists in Leeds and Sheffield combine detailed experience with first-class training and state-of-the-art equipment. This means they can diagnose and treat your condition effectively and quickly.
We understand skin conditions can be uncomfortable, concerning, and make you feel self-conscious and anxious. This is why we offer same-day appointments and access to procedures without the lengthy referral process. We understand the importance of catching things early, that’s why our dermatologists in Leeds and Sheffield take your concerns seriously and act quickly.
Patients can choose to use insurance options or self-pay, making our private dermatology services more accessible to everyone. At LivingCare, our experienced dermatology consultants take the lead on your care, ensuring you get the best care and the right treatments for your condition.
If you need a GP referral for your medical insurance, our Private GP service can arrange this for you so there’s no need to return to your NHS GP for paperwork.
Common reasons patients visit our dermatology specialists include:
We also review any skin changes and administer a bespoke treatment plan.
Cryotherapy is quick and effective: it uses extremely cold temperatures to destroy abnormal tissue. Your dermatology consultant performs this minimally invasive technique in the clinic. Patients with warts and verrucas, superficial basal cell carcinomas and sun damage may benefit from the treatment.
Noticing skin cancer early on is crucial. Our private dermatologists provide minor surgery to remove known or suspicious skin cancers. We commonly treat basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and melanoma.
Mole and skin tag removal is performed in our skin clinic. While the procedure is commonly performed for aesthetic reasons or to prevent irritation, if the mole or skin tag changes size, shape, or colour, doctors may recommend removal for medical reasons.
Cysts and lipomas are non-cancerous growths that can form under the skin. Our experienced private dermatologists can remove these using minimally invasive procedures.
“Staff are amazing here! Very friendly and very supportive. I suffer from anxiety and they put my mind at ease at my consultation. I went in for an excision of some moles for testing back in August and the doctors and nurses were all brilliant!...”
