At LivingCare all Minor Surgery procedures are carried out by a specialist team of consultants in Minor Surgery and supported by fully trained nurses who are able to help with:

Cysts and Lipomas with removal or alternatively, if required an ultrasound can or biopsy.

Cryotherapy service for the removal of warts and/or skin tags.

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Reshaping)

Earlobe Correction

Mole and Skin Tag Removal

Skin Cancer Treatment

Surgical Tattoo Removal (must be smaller than 5cm)

PATIENT PATHWAY

Step 1

Patient contacts our team with a brief description of their symptoms. All responses are addressed within 2 hours of the enquiry and will be answered within the hours of 8am - 5pm between Monday and Friday.

Within 48 hours, our private services team will then book an appointment at a convenient time for you. Prior to your consultation you may be required to send a photo of the skin complaint to ensure that you are suitable for treatment.

Step 2

Step 3

Your appointment will be a face to face with our Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon Mr Ian Smith. A deposit of £150 is required at this stage to secure your consultation, however this will be redeemable against any further treatment. The treatment price will be confirmed in the consultation.

Step 4

The patient will then attend our Thorpe Park Clinic on the specified date and time. During the consultation he will assess the skin condition and determine the most suitable treatment.

Step 5

After the consultation, an appointment will be booked by our private services team for your procedure. This will also take place at our Thorpe Park Clinic.

Step 6

Following any tests or procedures completed, all results will be sent back to Ian Smith who will determine whether a follow up appointment to discuss your results or any further treatment which may be required.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

SELF PAY

We understand that immediate access to healthcare is sometimes essential. With our self-pay service, there are no waiting lists. Within 24 hours, you will be offered a consultation date to see a medical professional that is convenient for you. Our expert team can then give you an assessment and treatment within 1 week of your consultation.

Your consultation and any tests, scans or investigations will be charged separately, however all of these costs will be quoted to you before anything commences and you are under no obligation to continue your treatment with us unless you are happy to do so.

MEDICAL INSURANCE

If you are paying for your procedure or treatment with medical insurance, you will need to liaise closely with the insurance provider throughout the process.

Before attending your first appointment, you should contact your insurance company to check that that your condition is covered for all stages of treatments.

You will need to visit your GP and ask them to refer you to The LivingCare Group at Thorpe Park Clinic for a private procedure. Your GP will write a letter of referral and then either you or your GP can contact us to arrange your first appointment.
