Mr Ian Smith is a highly skilled Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with over two decades of experience. Mr Smith is BAPRAS certified, offering expert cosmetic and reconstructive services at LivingCare in Leeds.

Recognised for his meticulous surgical techniques and patient-centred approach, Mr Smith is certified under the Royal College of Surgeons' Cosmetic Surgery Certification Scheme. He is committed to achieving excellent cosmetic outcomes while delivering safe and effective care.

Mr Smith is the Lead Clinician for both Plastic Surgery and Sarcoma at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Alongside his clinical role, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and serves as the Training Programme Director for Plastic Surgery across the Yorkshire and Humber region. He is also Chair of the Board of the Court of Examiners for the FRCS (Plast) examination, and has authored numerous publications and presented extensively in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

About Mr Ian Smith:

Mr Smith completed his higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery in Leeds in 1996, following extensive training across the Yorkshire region. He further developed his expertise through advanced fellowships in Maxillofacial Surgery, Craniofacial Surgery, and Head and Neck Oncology in Australia. This international training has enhanced his specialist skills in the management of complex skin cancers and reconstructive surgery.

Mr Smith is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), where he currently serves as Honorary Treasurer. He is also listed on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register (GMC No. 4426154).
