Consultant Cardiologist

Dr Mark Appleby obtained his degree in Medical Sciences from Cambridge University and subsequently completed his medical training at Guy’s Hospital in London. He undertook his specialist cardiology training at the Yorkshire Heart Centre in Leeds, where he gained extensive experience in angiography, cardiac pacing and angioplasty.
Following completion of his UK training, Dr Appleby was awarded an International Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at UCSF – Stanford in San Francisco. He has broad experience in managing general cardiological conditions, including angina, heart failure, palpitations and syncope (fainting). He also has a specialist interest in interventional cardiology and has published extensively on coronary artery disease and coronary stents.
