Mr Charlie Talbot

Mr Charlie Talbot is a highly experienced Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon based in Leeds and Harrogate, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions, sports injuries, trauma and joint replacement surgery. He combines advanced surgical expertise with an evidence-based approach to deliver personalised care and optimal outcomes for his patients.

After graduating from the University of Leeds Medical School in 2000, Mr Talbot completed his surgical training throughout the Yorkshire region. He subsequently undertook a postgraduate Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering by Research before being appointed to the Yorkshire Orthopaedics and Trauma Higher Surgical Training Programme. His specialist training included prestigious fellowships at the internationally renowned Wrightington Upper Limb Unit and the Sheffield Shoulder and Elbow Unit, where he developed advanced expertise in upper limb surgery.  

Appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2012, Mr Talbot has established a leading shoulder and elbow practice serving patients across Yorkshire. He specialises in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, shoulder stabilisation procedures, rotator cuff repair, shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, and the management of complex sports injuries and upper limb trauma.  

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Talbot is actively involved in research, education and surgical training. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed orthopaedic journals, contributed to specialist textbooks, and regularly teaches and mentors the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
