This large-scale international study was designed to support the development of a blood-based screening test capable of detecting multiple cancers at an early stage.
Participants undergoing routine lung or colorectal cancer screening received standard screening procedures in line with national care pathways, with outcomes contributing to the wider research dataset managed by the study sponsor.
The study aims to support earlier cancer detection and improve future screening accessibility by enabling the development of less invasive, blood-based screening approaches.
LivingCare was commissioned to support the delivery of lung and colorectal cancer screening procedures, providing imaging and endoscopy services within a clinically governed environment and in line with standard of care.
Lung cancer screening (LDCT): delivery of low-dose CT lung scans, adherence to radiation dose limits and recognised imaging standards, local clinical reporting of nodules and incidental findings using standardised lung CT screening frameworks, expected volume of approximately 10 scans per month, and a 7-day turnaround for imaging reports.
Colorectal cancer screening (colonoscopy): delivery of colonoscopy procedures in line with standard of care, full bowel preparation and pre-assessment completed prior to procedure, local clinical reporting of findings, expected volume of approximately 15 procedures per month, and all clinical decision-making and follow-up care remaining under the responsibility of the treating clinician.
Successful contribution to a large-scale, global research programme.
High-quality longitudinal sample and data collection over multiple years.
Consistent delivery across multiple UK sites, aligned with clinical governance, consent and data protection requirements.
