How do I book an appointment?

Booking a GP appointment at LivingCare is easy. We offer same or next day appointments, within our extended opening hours. You don't need to register with us or de-register from your NHS doctor. Simply call on 0113 539 4646, email thorpeparkclinic@livingcare.co.uk or complete our enquiry form below.

How do I pay for my appointment?

For GP appointments you can pay by cash or by credit or debit card (excluding American Express) on the day of your appointment. We also accept medical insurance, if you have it. Please note - Appointments with GPs are not always covered by insurance companies. If you are referred to a consultant or have a procedure done at LivingCare then the majority of these will be covered by insurance companies. It is advisable to check your policy or ask your broker or insurance company to be sure of what is and what is not covered.

Do I need to see one of your GPs before I see one of your consultants in another service?

No, you can book directly with the consultant of your choice without the need for a referral from a GP.

What happens if I need a prescription?

There is no extra charge for our GPs to provide you with a prescription. You will just need to pay a prescription fee at the pharmacy. Prescriptions are available for: Conditions diagnosed or confirmed by one of our GPs If you have run out of your usual repeat prescription Forgotten or lost tablets, inhalers and other medicines Contraception and emergency contraception Medication not available on the NHS Repeat prescriptions We are able to provide repeat prescriptions for regular patients who have previously seen one of our GPs and an agreement has been made to put medication/prescription on repeat. The GP will agree a duration for the repeat prescription/medication before a medication review appointment is required.

What are your opening hours?

Our opening hours vary depending on which professional you need to access. However our service generally will be from 7am to 8pm Monday - Friday.

Will this affect my care at my local NHS service?

Accessing our private GP service should not affect your care from your local NHS GP service. Although we aim to provide a full primary care service we strongly recommend that you remain registered on your local GP patient list to ensure assistance in the event of a medical emergency.
