Day 2 Lateral-Flow

Antigen Test

LivingCare  provide a self swab testing solution for day 2 testing based on a lateral flow test that you perform yourself and upload a picture of the result to our online portal.


This is required by the UK Government for travelers who are fully vaccinated returning to the UK from the "Rest of the World" list, and is not accepted for travelers who aren't fully vaccinated.

You must book your test online HERE. 


Booking online is the only option for this service and you must not call our team as they cannot advise you or book over the phone.


Please note: Our pre-travel (and general health screening) lateral flow test is not the same as this day 2 test and MUST NOT be ordered for day 2 testing.

The process

  1. Book your test as far in advance of your arrival to the UK as possible. This will allow adequate time for your tests to arrive before day 2. (All kits are sent Special Delivery with Royal Mail within 48 working hours of ordering).

  2. Check the contents of your kit include 1x swab, 1x lateral flow test device, 1x buffer solution tube and 1x dropper cap.

  3. Read the instructions included with your kit to understand the process of your swab test.

  4. Take your test on or before day 2 after arrival into the UK. You may do this from the moment you land.

  5. Log into your account at travel.livingcare.co.uk , register your test using the QR/LAT code provided and upload a picture of the lateral flow test device next to the passport for the individual linked to each sample in the results section of your order summary page, which can be found by viewing your order under the “Orders” section.

  6. A result will be issued to your online account for each person tested. This document will include the details that you input at the time of booking. Results are issued 7 days a week.

  7. If you're negative, your day 2 testing is now complete as we report this result to PHE. If you're positive, UKHSA will be in touch to provide you a free of charge PCR test to confirm your result.
