Overview

What is a Visual Acuity and Colour Blindness Test

A Visual Acuity and Colour Blindness Test ensures you or your athletes have the right support for any sight conditions or ailments.

How Visual Acuity and Colour Blindness Test works

An expert optometrist will use the latest technology to perform tests to assess eye health and sight. The tests can detect glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and colour blindness.

What to expect from a Visual Acuity and Colour Blindness Test

At the test, you’ll sit in a chair. The optometrist will ask you to read letters, numbers, and symbols set at a distance. The optometrist will use different lenses on a machine to understand if you need a prescription and, if so, what it will be. The test should take around 20 minutes.

Risks and complications of Visual Acuity and Colour Blindness Test

Eye exams do not usually have side effects. If you had eye drops, you may have temporary blurred vision. You may also feel sensitive to light briefly after the test.

How to recover from Visual Acuity and Colour Blindness Test

After your test, your optometrist will let you know if you need a prescription. You’ll be able to go straight home.
