A range of packages tailored for men and women.
Health and lifestyle screening is a comprehensive assessment that reveals your health status, identifying risks and insights into your overall wellbeing. Unlike basic health checks, our screening packages combine detailed clinical evaluation with advanced diagnostic testing to deliver a complete picture of your health. It’s a valuable tool for advanced warning: one recent study revealed that 40% of patients are still diagnosed at a late stage or with unstaged cancer in England, so early detection is important.
We help you understand your current health baseline, identify areas for improvement, and take informed steps for your well-being. Whether you're seeking a general health check-up, monitoring specific health concerns or establishing a foundation for healthy lifestyle changes, our screening packages provide the comprehensive assessment you need.
Our health and lifestyle screening combines different assessment methods. Each package has essential diagnostic tests, a clinical examination, and a detailed consultation to ensure nothing is overlooked. They are also designed to be flexible to your concerns and priorities, providing a bespoke screen.
The screening process includes basic blood tests to assess key health markers. That includes cholesterol levels, blood sugar, liver function, and inflammatory markers. Experienced clinicians conduct a thorough physical examination to evaluate your cardiovascular, respiratory and overall physical health. We also provide a comprehensive medical history review examining your family history, previous health concerns and current symptoms, alongside lifestyle analysis assessing factors such as diet, exercise, stress levels and habits that impact your health.
Packages include ECG monitoring to evaluate your heart's electrical activity and detect any irregularities; blood pressure assessments to monitor cardiovascular health and identify potential risks of hypertension; and urinalysis checks for kidney function, signs of infection or other health issues. This comprehensive approach ensures that both evident and subtle health indicators are identified.
It enables the early detection of heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. It identifies risk factors before symptoms develop and establishes baseline health measurements for future monitoring.
The screening provides a valuable lifestyle assessment by evaluating how diet, exercise, and stress impact your health, identifying areas where lifestyle changes could improve your wellbeing, and supporting weight management and fitness goals. For workplace health, it offers comprehensive health checks for executives and employees, assessment of work-related health risks and stress factors, and support for corporate wellness programmes.
Personal health management benefits include peace of mind through thorough health evaluation, monitoring of existing health conditions and risk factors, and a foundation for informed healthcare decisions. The screening also supports insurance and employment requirements through health assessments for insurance applications, pre-employment medical examinations and documentation of current health status for various purposes.
The package is also relevant for people who will embark on a new activity or challenge for example your first marathon, to ensure they undergo preparation and training as safely as possible.
Our screening packages are valuable for men's health, as they address common health concerns that affect men disproportionately, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
Before Your Appointment
You'll receive detailed instructions when booking your appointment, including:
During Your Appointment
Your health and lifestyle screening appointment typically takes 60-90 minutes, depending on your chosen package. The initial consultation lasts 15-20 minutes (this is more like 60 for mine!). It includes a discussion of your health history, lifestyle, and concerns. You’ll also review your current medications and previous medical interventions, and an explanation of what each test entails.
The physical examination takes 20-30 minutes. It involves a comprehensive clinical examination, including cardiovascular, respiratory, and abdominal assessments. It also includes blood pressure monitoring, and a basic neurological evaluation, as well as an ECG recording.
Diagnostic tests require 15-30 minutes for blood sample collection for comprehensive analysis, urinalysis to assess kidney function and detect abnormalities, and additional tests as specified in your chosen package. The results discussion takes 15-20 minutes to review immediate findings from physical examination and ECG, explain what blood test results will show and when they'll be available, and discuss any areas requiring follow-up or further investigation.
After Your Appointment
Following your screening, you'll receive comprehensive results and ongoing support. You'll receive immediate feedback on physical examination findings and ECG results, with blood test results available within 24 to 48 hours. A detailed written report summarises all conclusions and recommendations, followed by a follow-up consultation to discuss results and answer any questions.
You'll receive personalised recommendations for lifestyle modifications and health improvements, with referral arrangements if further investigation or specialist care is needed.
Health and lifestyle screening is generally very safe, with minimal risks associated with the assessment process. Blood test considerations include minor discomfort during blood collection, rare instances of bruising or slight bleeding at the needle site, and a very rare risk of infection (less than 1 in 10,000 procedures).
ECG monitoring involves no risks associated with ECG recording, though mild skin irritation from electrode placement may occur and resolve quickly. Physical examination carries no significant risks from routine clinical procedures, although temporary discomfort may occur during abdominal or joint assessments.
Risks associated with any further tests (such as imaging with contrast, or exercise testing) would be discussed at the time of your health assessment
Some patients may experience mild light-headedness due to fasting requirements, while diabetic patients receive exceptional guidance to manage their blood sugar levels safely.
Recovery from health and lifestyle screening is immediate and straightforward. Once blood tests are complete, you can eat and drink normally and continue regular activities without restriction.
Allow 24-48 hours for complete blood test results and use this time to consider any immediate recommendations from your screening while preparing questions for your results consultation. Follow-up actions include attending your results consultation to thoroughly discuss the findings, implementing any recommended lifestyle changes, and scheduling follow-up appointments or referrals as advised.
Most patients find the screening process energising rather than demanding, as it provides valuable insights and clear direction for health improvement.

The frequency of health screening depends on your age, risk factors and personal health goals. Generally, healthy adults benefit from comprehensive screening every 2-3 years, while those with risk factors or a family history may require more frequent assessments. Our clinicians will provide personalised recommendations based on your circumstances.
While many aspects of health screening are similar across genders, there are essential differences in risk factors, screening requirements, and health priorities. Our health and lifestyle screening packages can be tailored to address gender-specific concerns. We also offer dedicated women's health screenings.
Some insurers cover preventive health screening, while others may only cover diagnostic tests when symptoms are present. We recommend checking about coverage, and can provide detailed invoices to support any claims.
If your screening identifies potential health issues, our team will explain the findings clearly and arrange appropriate follow-up care. This might include additional testing, lifestyle modifications or referral to specialists. We also offer bowel screening, including qFIT testing for comprehensive digestive health assessment when indicated.
