Tongue Tie is where the skin (frenulum) joining a babies tongue to the bottom of their mouth is shorter or thicker than usual.
Tongue Tie is where the skin (frenulum) joining a babies tongue to the bottom of their mouth is shorter or thicker than usual. This can make it harder to breastfeed, and as children age with a tongue tie, it can create lots of challenges with oral health and activity.
The Surgical process to remove a tongue tie (frenectomy) is a straightforward procedure and can be completed during a 20-minute outpatient appointment, with our experienced maxillofacial surgeon.
