LivingCare have been working with NHS Leeds CCG to support patients who had appointments at Clinicare Provider Services Limited based at Robin Lane and Manor Park Surgeries.

Last week (15th May 2019) we were notified of Clinicare ceasing trading and that left patients being referred back to their GP.  LivingCare with Clinicare and the Surgeries have attempted to contact every patient on the waiting list to offer alternative appointments.

LivingCare provide services to the NHS and are free at the point of need for patients.  We are trying to maintain the same level of service that was provided previously however due to the very short notice we had there will be some slight changes.

If you had an appointment:

Someone will have made contact with you either by telephone, letter or text message offering you either an immediate appointment or inviting you to contact us to arrange an appointment.  We will offer you services from a range of providers this will include other Dermatology services and Gastroenterology services across Leeds and surrounding area.

We will offer you LivingCare services also.  If you do not wish to accept any of these appointments we will discharge you back to the care of your GP for you to speak to them about the options as part of your care pathway.

Dermatology

For those patients who were attending Clinicare at Robin Lane or Manor Park. LivingCare will continue to operate Dermatology services from both these sites.  We have spoken to the clinical teams who provided Dermatology services through Clinicare and agreed that they will provide services as part of the LivingCare team.  

What this means for patients is that you will see the same clinicians, at the same locations (Robin Lane and Manor Park) however all correspondence will be from LivingCare if you opt for these appointments.

If you do not wish to continue with this care if you can let our team know and we can provide you with choices for other providers or we can refer you back to your GP for you to discuss your care with them.

If you do not have an appointment yet but were on the waiting list for an appointment at Clinicare then please contact the team on  0113 249 4655.  They will speak to you and offer you choice of location or time with LivingCare or can provide you with other options for services across the city.  If you choose another provider we will pass your referral onto this provider for them to contact you.  We will not be able to make appointments for other providers.  If you choose LivingCare we will provide you with an appointment on the call.

Gastroenterology and Gastroscopy Services (including Endoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy and Colonoscopy):

If you have had an appointment for a Gastroenterology or Gastroscopy appointment we will be in touch to rearrange this.  Due to the governance of these procedures we will be unable currently to provide these services from Robin Lane Surgery.

As a patient you will be offered appointments across other locations and at various times including evenings at LivingCare or will be offered to be referred to an alternative provider.

Our appointments are provided on the NHS and will be of no charge to you as a patient.

If you would struggle to travel to our sites beyond reasonable effort then please speak to the team who will try and accommodate your appointment and accessing this.

You may be seen by an alternative clinician for your appointment or procedure. They will have access to your referral and will ask for your consent to view your patient notes to enable them to make appropriate assessment and diagnosis.

All our sites are Joint Advisory Group for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy accredited which is a kitemark of best practice.

Our team are experience individuals who work across the local health economy.

We are working with the various organisations across the city to make this transition as easy as possible for all staff, patients and clinicians. When you call our team there may be a slight delay as our call volume has doubled due to this.  We will try and answer calls as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience.

LivingCare will be offering patient choice through this process and you will be asked to confirm details and consent for your record to be shared with us.  Without this consent we will be unable to book your appointment and will need to refer you back to your GP.
