At LivingCare, we can help diagnose and manage a range of conditions through personalised care, including PSA blood tests, ultrasounds, flexible cystoscopy, and other diagnostic tests.
You may benefit from seeing a urologist if you experience any of the following:
Difficulty starting or maintaining a urine stream can be a sign of underlying issues with the bladder or prostate.
If you find yourself needing to urinate more frequently, this could indicate bladder or prostate issues.
Frequent night-time urination (nocturia) can disrupt sleep and be a symptom of an underlying condition that may need investigation.
Whether visible or detected through tests, blood in the urine should be investigated to rule out cancer, stones or infections
Feeling like you can't fully empty your bladder may be a sign of bladder dysfunction or an enlarged prostate.
The inability to control urination can result from bladder or pelvic floor issues, and a urologist can offer various treatment options.
Scrotal and Testicle problems
Swollen or painful testes
Pain or swelling in the testicles can be caused by several conditions that should be evaluated by a specialist.
If you have a family history of prostate cancer or concerns about prostate health it is helpful to discuss your concerns with one of our prostate cancer specialists.
A PSA test is a blood test that helps check for prostate conditions such as an enlarged prostate or prostate cancer. If your PSA levels are elevated, further tests may be recommended to assess your prostate health.
Urinary tract infections are common and can cause discomfort. Still, they typically resolve within a few days or can be effectively treated with antibiotics. Female patients with recurrent urinary tract infections can be helped by checking there is no underlying problem with their bladder or kidneys. All male patients with a proven urinary tract infection should be evaluated by a urologist as there is a higher chance of there being an underlying bladder, prostate or kidney problem.
Haematuria refers to the presence of blood in the urine. It can be visible to the naked eye (macroscopic) or only detected through laboratory tests (microscopic). The blood may originate from any part of the urinary tract, including the kidneys, bladder, or urethra, and may be associated with bladder cancer or other renal tract problems.
During your appointment, our urologist will review your symptoms and discuss potential treatments or further examinations. If additional tests or procedures are required, our nursing and administrative team will coordinate these for you, ensuring clear communication about next steps and appointment times.
Your appointment will last approximately 15 minutes. During this time, you may be asked to undress for an examination. This will be done privately, with the option to have a chaperone present. Following the examination, there will be time for further discussion and any questions you may have about your treatment.
Should the urologist recommend further tests such as an ultrasound, MRI, X-ray, or cystoscopy, the results will be reviewed with you in a follow-up appointment. If bladder function tests are necessary, the results will be discussed at the time of testing.
At LivingCare, we prioritise your comfort, dignity, and care throughout your treatment journey.

If you're concerned about prostate cancer, particularly if you have a family history of this condition or raised PSA levels, we can offer a thorough assessment. You'll have a detailed medical history review, a physical examination that consists of a Digital Rectal Exam (DRE), a multi-parametric MRI (MP MRI), and if needed, a Local Anaesthetic Transperineal (LATP) Prostate biopsy to further investigate any abnormalities.
Blood in your urine needs urgent attention. LivingCare provides a comprehensive medical history review and physical examination, as well as flexible cystoscopy to examine the bladder. Your urologist may also recommend a CT scan or ultrasound.
If you notice a lump or swelling, seek help promptly. We offer a thorough physical examination and an ultrasound to check for testicular cancer or other scrotal conditions.
Our comprehensive evaluation includes a physical examination and a Triple Phase CT scan. This advanced imaging method detects abnormalities in the kidneys for an accurate diagnosis.
Recurrent bladder infections can be disruptive. We offer a complete medical examination, a flexible cystoscopy to examine the bladder, and, in some cases, a CT scan may be required to find the cause.
Frequent urination affects your quality of life. We will conduct a comprehensive examination and utilise a flow rate test to evaluate bladder function and identify any contributing factors.

We're always on hand, so get in touch and we'll get back to you straight away.
