At LivingCare, we understand that immediate access to healthcare is sometimes essential. With our self-pay service, there are no waiting lists. Within 24 hours, you will be offered a consultation date to see a medical professional that is convenient for you.
We provide a service that means you won't be hanging around wondering what's next. Our expert team can give you an assessment and treatment with minimal waiting time after your consultation.
Private care on a self-pay basis is cheaper than you'd think, visit our service pages to view individual prices. We price ourselves on great patient care at great prices.
Your consultation and any tests, scans or investigations will be charged separately, however all of these costs will be quoted to you before anything commences and you are under no obligation to continue your treatment with us unless you are happy to do so.
As a self-pay patient, you do not require a GP referral, and instead can book straight in with our expert medical team.
If you are paying for your procedure or treatment with medical insurance, you will need to liaise closely with the insurance provider throughout the process.
Before attending your first appointment, you should contact your insurance company to check that that your condition is covered for all stages of treatments.
You will need to visit your GP and ask them to refer you to The LivingCare Group at Thorpe Park Clinic for a private procedure. You must ask your GP to write a letter of referral and then either you or your GP can contact us to arrange your first appointment.
If you cannot attend an appointment with your GP to arrange a referral, why not book with our private GP who can assess and refer you into our services?
When you attend Thorpe Park Clinic for for initial consultation you will need to bring with you:
Medical insurance registration documents
Completed claim form/proof of pre-authorisation by your insurance company
Debit/Credit card for us to hold on file to cover any additional payments such as your insurance excess

For most patients, treatment costs are based on agreements with the insurance company and payment will be made direct by them.

Do I need a referral from my GP?
If you're paying for your own care, no you don't need a GP referral. You can book directly in with any of our consultants.

Do I need private health insurance to be seen?
You do not need health insurance to be seen at LivingCare. All our private services can also be accessed via our self pay option.

You are still more than welcome to access any private LivingCare service, even if you are not a British citizen.
Will I need to stay overnight at LivingCare?
All our procedures will not require an overnight stay at our clinic. You are free to recover from the comfort of your own home.
Can I bring someone with me?
We understand that you may be worried or nervous about having a medical appointment/procedure, so if you’d like to bring a friend or family member with you, that’s absolutely fine. Just bring them along on the day.
