Thursday 5th July 2018 marks 70 years since the NHS started. Its success is down to those people who have been committed to helping others.
The #NHS70 campaign has been inviting everyone to share their positive experiences and memories of the NHS, in both a personal and professional capacity.
Our LivingCare team has extensive experience delivering NHS healthcare services in primary care settings, including working with NHS Trusts and NHS Commissioners. 16 years ago we started as just an NHS provider, providing diagnostic services to Leeds CCG and supporting GP practices in London.
We take incredible pride in working alongside our NHS colleagues to deliver outstanding care to patients and provide them with timely treatment. Through these strong relationships we’re able to help improve patient’s lives on a daily basis.
A lot of the work we do is based in Leeds. At Thorpe Park Clinic, we have state-of-the-art facilities so we can receive NHS referrals. The wide variety of services we offer means we can operate as an extension to the NHS, helping them to continue offering high-quality access to healthcare to patients across the UK.
Since the beginning of 2018, our Leeds services have been particularly successful:
• 2,700 dermatology consultations
• 2,600 ENT appointments
• 500 gastroenterology consultations
• 1,702 endoscopy procedures
• 499 sigmoidoscopy procedures
• 663 ophthalmology consultations
• 341 urology consultations
• 201 vasectomy procedures
• 112 minor surgery procedures
Our team is passionate about the work we do with the NHS, so we’re marking the occasion by sharing photos of the team. We hope the NHS enjoys its birthday celebrations and we thank them, and all those who have been part of its journey, for helping to underpin our health services over the last seven decades.
